The Video-Feedback Research study is a randomized control trial examining different modalities of parent coaching as a component of early intervention for toddlers with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Families who enroll in the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain New York State Early Intervention classroom are invited to participate. One group of parents will be asked to record parent-child interactions in the home and receive feedback from the parent coach on these interactions, weekly. The other group of parents will receive parent coaching, as usual through the classroom. We are looking at treatment outcomes over time, at the end of the 6-month treatment period and 6-months post-treatment to better understand short and long term impacts of different models of parent coaching.
